Shmuel Veffer

Shmuel is co-founder and president of Village Israel. He made aliyah in 1978 where he worked in both the corporate and non-profit worlds. While in Israel he became fluent in Hebrew and served in the IDF. He received Rabbinical ordination in 1997 and worked as a Rabbi in Toronto for eight years. Shmuel is most widely known as the inventor of the KosherLamp and founder of Kosher Innovations. In 2009, after leaving Kosher Innovations, he and his family returned to Israel where he founded Village Israel.
